SG Gridification Guide Contribution Policy
From EGEE-see WIki
The policy for contributions to SEEGRID Gridification Guide Wiki is the following:
- Individual subtopics should be added as links within corresponding sections. They should be written using tutorial style and provide information of general usability for a wider developer community. The authors should also have in mind that the usability of provided contents may transcend the scope of SEEGRED infrastructure and applications.
- Each section is started with a "sandbox". Sandboxes are placeholders for preliminary recommendations, pointers and guidelines which are not fully-polished or at the level of usability appropriate for the Gridification Guide.
- Particular issues the developers may have (for example with a grid site) should be posted to the corresponding Task Manager Group within ASG Helpdesk at http://helpdesk.see-grid.org.
- Usage-ready solutions cleaned of site or application specific details should be transferred from the ASG Helpdesk and Sandboxes to the corresponding Gridification Guide section or subtopic.
- Investigation areas cover subjects that have not been currently identified as primary topics within the SEEGRID community. Therefore at the start they had only sandboxes. The solutions provided within these domains may become contributions to primary topics or remanin within investigation area topic.
The developers and members of the SEE-GRID-2 ASG (Application Support Group) are strongly encouraged to share the knowledge through SEEGRID Gridification Guide Wiki. In fact, the developers who establish some grid-related functionality in their applications are expected to make a post to SEEGRID Gridification Wiki, thus facilitating the effort of other developers within the same area. This applies to countries' primary applications as well as to other applications supported by SEEGRID infrastructure. The contribution to the Wiki, and consecutively D4.3, will be one of indicators of application progress and participation within the SEE-GRID-2 project.
The created Wiki pages should be freely updated and improved by developers who are not their initial creators.
